Which plan is best for ME ?Good Question. It depends on your computer use, and how many computers you want to cover. If you have 1 computer and only use the computer infrequently, or only as much as once per day, the ProtectMe plan at $25 a month is aimed at YOU. If you take care of some of the basic maintenance already, or very infrequently have a problem or slowness, you may also want to consider ProtectMe. If you have more than 1 computer that you use fairly often, or use your PC every day, take a look at MaxProtect at $45 a month. Consider this plan if you are a person who never or infrequently does maintenance, or has problems with spyware, slowness, or viruses periodically. This plan is also good for the person who can't be without the computer, or needs it as fast as possible all the time.
Back to TopHow do I qualify?New customers, or customers with computers that have not been serviced by Computafix in the past 60 days may require additional services in order to qualify for these plans. If required, these services will be estimated & performed during an initial visit by one of our qualified technicians. The good news is that these services will be performed at the Special Rate if you sign up for a contract at that time. Back to TopIt's a Contract, but for How Long ?Remember the note about no long term commitment? This contract remains in effect until YOU decide to cancel. During the first 2 months, there is a cancellation charge of $50 for contracts cancelled by the customer, or due to non-payment. A $5.00 late fee will be applied to any invoice when 10 days late. The contract automatically cancels when payment is 30 days late. Cancellation charges plus late fee are due if the contract has had less than 2 months payment. Back to TopHow is billing handled ?At initial setup, you pay your 1st Month's fee, plus any service charges required to clean your PC to specification. (Remember, at the special rate!) Then, we mail an invoice (or email if you prefer) on the 15th of each month, which is due on the 1st. A $5.00 late fee will be applied to any invoice when 10 days late. Back to TopWhat is covered?Our maintenance visits are meant to make sure that your computer is properly maintained, with working anti-virus scans, anti-spyware scans, relevant updates to your Operating System, tests for proper function and speed, internet connectivity, etc... Minor issues may also be dealt with if time allows, but usually we won't have time allotted for repairs to some problems, or to deal with pending hardware failures that we may observe. If you need further services beyond the scope of routine maintenance, we'll estimate them for you at our special rate for contract customers. If you have problems that occur between visits, no problem, you still qualify for the special rates. Back to TopWhat is the Special Rate?As a contract customer, you receive the largest possible discount. Labor and repairs beyond our routine maintenance are charged at $25 per half hour, with a 1 hour minimum, and you do NOT pay any travel or fuel surcharges. In the event of a major repair that could require several hours to repair, you are pre-qualified for a special in-shop flat labor rate of $100 (plus any parts that may be required) These rates are 25% to 33% off what a non-contract customer pays!
